Energy Audits

What is an Energy Audit?

It is a look at how your family and your home uses energy. The home is evaluated with diagnostic tools such as blower door and thermal imagery. There are appliance monitoring and HVAC system inspections. Additional diagnostic tools are used along with the inspection to accurately diagnose any health and safety issues that may arise from either the home, retrofitting, or the combustion appliances if present. Comfort measures and air quality are very important for home energy audit service. The goal of the energy audit is to provide information for immediate savings and the best return on investment when weatherizing the home. You will be provided with a custom work order that can be presented to your local weatherization companies for retrofit quotes and follow up diagnostics. The ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Condintioning Engineers) standard 62.2-2016 is used.
